The racetrack is the main stage where competitors of all classes, from the claiming ranks to the Grade I Stakes Races, come together to test their speed, endurance, and heart in races at various distances and surfaces.
It is where races are won or lost by a nose, a fraction of a second, resulting in the gain or loss of thousands of dollars.
It is where the many hours of intense training and conditioning of each thoroughbred either pays off in victory, or sends you back to the barn contemplating a new strategy or training regimen.
It is where owners, trainers and jockeys suffer either heartbreak, or attain a level of excitement and exhilaration in victory that must be experienced to be believed. It is where Champions are crowned, often times under the most intense conditions.
It is where legends are made, be it trainer, jockey or horse.
It is where racing fans can see these legends up close, call them by name, and wish them Godspeed. The Racetrack is a Broadway Theatre where 9 or 10 shows plays daily.
